Edmundston (N.B.) – The Congrès mondial acadien 2014 wants to introduce and share the public’s Acadia for the creation of the theme song’s video. At this stage, production is in the works for a video clip for the song Mon tour de te bercer, which was launched this morning, in Edmundston.
The Congrès mondial acadien 2014 is therefore asking the cooperation of the population of Acadia of the World. “We wish to promote Acadia of the World in the video clip of the theme song and we are looking for pictures and videos from all over Acadia, but also the people’s Acadia, the one which is talked about in the streets, the Acadia in families, in communities, in cafes, the Acadia that assembles, an inclusive Acadia.” explained Léo Paul Charest, Executive Director of the Congrès mondial acadien 2014.
The president of the CMA 2014, Émilien Nadeau, expressed himself with enthusiasm in these terms: “We now have a theme song to represent us and that represents all of Acadia. A video clip which will not only represent a modern Acadia, but an inclusive and international one as well, and will be an excellent business card for the event. We want to receive materials from Louisiana, Québec, from the Canadian Francophonie, from France, from the Atlantic Acadia, and from the whole world. Acadia is a nation of the heart, not of boundaries.”
« Show us your traditions, your typical Acadian dishes, your festivities or your little corner of heaven: everything that reminds you of Acadia, the Acadia of your heart. We want to feel Acadia of the Lands and Forests, savour Acadia of the ocean, and discover the secrets of urban Acadia.” explained Mr. Nadeau.
People wishing to submit materials for the video clip may do so by downloading it on our Web site at www.cma2014.com/chansontheme or at monacadie@cma2014.com for mobile phones. The deadline to submit your materials is June 15th, 2013.
